Incubated by Connect Ventures and co-founded by Pokimane and Darcey Macken, Myna Snacks is on a mission to create a positive relationship with snacking, starting with the Midnight Mini Cookie
Myna Snacks, the food company on a mission to create positive relationships with snacking, today launches with its first product, the Midnight Mini Cookie, with more snack options to follow. The CPG challenger is co-founded by tastemaker Imane Anys, best known as Pokimane, the most followed female streamer on Twitch, and Darcey Macken, an industry veteran who honed her skills with household titans like Kellogg’s and noosa yogurt.
Incubated by Connect Ventures, the investment partnership formed by leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and global venture capital firm New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Myna brings together leaders in digital lifestyle, CPG, and growth-focused startups to usher in a new era of snacking.
“After the pandemic where I spent a lot of time streaming, I realized it was time to prioritize my health. Finding a snack that was delicious but also made me feel replenished always felt like a trade-off between not satisfying my craving or feeling guilty about fueling my body,” said Co-Founder Imane Anys. “We created Myna to be a snacking companion for all of the in-between moments of the day to keep you going while tasting delightful.”
“Consumers should not have to overthink or feel guilty when reaching for a snack,” said Darcey Macken, Co-Founder and CEO of Myna Snacks. “After years of research and development, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of a snack company consumers can trust for amazing taste and health benefits, removing what I call the ‘mental calories’ behind fueling our bodies. We’re making the most craveable, poppable, feel-good snacks for everyone.”
Myna was built from Macken and Anys’s mutual passion for solving a common frustration in the snack industry — the snacks they cherished most often left them feeling less than great. Like most, both founders spent a large portion of their days in front of screens for work or entertainment. Together, the duo is ushering in a new era of health, flavor and fun with snacks for the digital age by crafting a convenient, irresistibly delicious snack that leaves consumers feeling their best self. Thoughtfully created for any lifestyle, Myna Snacks is drawing influence from nostalgic pop culture and game design references to create a highly engaging experience for every consumer.
“Through Imane’s personal passions and authentic connection to her community and Darcey’s CPG expertise and innovative approach to brand-building, we saw an opportunity to create a line of new, trusted snack foods specifically for a digital audience that cares about their own personal health and wellness more than any other generation before them,” said Michael Blank of Connect Ventures. “We see immense potential in Myna’s ability to bring the fun and flavor back to snacking, without sacrificing standards in ingredients.”
Myna’s first snack at launch, the Midnight Mini Cookie, combines sustenance and convenience with delicious taste and nutrition. It consists of rich chocolate, velvety white chips and sea salts and is made with only real ingredients, leading with a premium non-GMO gluten-free flour blend, coconut sugar and mushroom powder, which makes each serving a good source of Vitamin D. Available in a pack of four for $28, the Midnight Mini Cookie is the first of many snacks to come from Myna, and all products will be free of dairy, soy, gluten and grains, artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives. Visitors to mynasnacks.com are invited to design their own custom snack as part of Myna’s “Snack Lab,” which will help inform the company’s next snack they bring to market.
