Can you share the journey of Bhagat Halwai so far? How did it all begin? What are some significant milestones or achievements you have accomplished along the way?

Bhagat Halwai’s journey, initiated in 1795 by the visionary Lekh Raj Bhagat, has been a remarkable odyssey steeped in tradition and culinary excellence. Established along the picturesque banks of the Yamuna River in Agra, this culinary haven started as a modest venture with a grand vision.

Lekh Raj Bhagat, affectionately known as Bhagat Halwai, sought to encapsulate the opulent culinary heritage of the Mughal era and share it with both locals and tourists. The historical echoes of imperial influence in Agra provided a fitting backdrop for Bhagat Halwai to emerge as a symbol of traditional Indian cuisine, embodying the city’s historical allure and its delightful heritage.

What set Bhagat Halwai apart from the beginning were not only its delightful offerings but also its distinctive cooking methods. The use of wood and cow dung instead of charcoal was a unique touch believed to enhance the flavour of their creations.
